Founded in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1954, Denali Transportation originated as the joint venture of two transportation industry pioneers: Sig Wold and Leo Schlotfeldt. At a time when little or no infrastructure existed in the harsh and unforgiving environment of Alaska, these men committed their resourcefulness and innovation to providing the reliable transportation of goods—to, from and within The Last Frontier.
The result of their commitment is today’s Pacific Movers—widely recognized as the shipping and transportation leader in Alaska. Today, Walt Schlotfeldt, CEO, continues to espouse the business mission of his parents: "Employ the best people, give them the tools to do quality work and ensure that Denali provides their customers with superior service."
